Our New Album, The Phosphorescent Blues, is Now Available

Hi. It's Paul, writing from a sprinter van somewhere between Bremen and Hamburg.

We've been eagerly awaiting the day when we could share our new album, The Phosphorescent Blues, with the world. And now, just like that... it's out! You can buy a CD from us or get a digital copy on iTunes. The vinyl (with four extra tracks on the fourth side) will come out on February 24th, but you get an instant digital download when you buy it from our shop (pre-orderers get their link today, details here).

And just a reminder, every ticket purchased to our upcoming North American tour includes a digital download of the new album. Anyone who purchased tickets online will receive an instruction email with your unique code(s), so be sure to check your inbox. Those who purchased a ticket in person should have received a unique code with their ticket. Please visit punchbrothers.com/redemptions for instructions on how to redeem your album.

We played our first shows with The Phosphorescent Blues in Dublin, London, and Glasgow last week. On top of playing fiddle and singing in the show, Gabe is also playing some drums. It's been fun. His bass drum has goat hair on it. The North American tour begins February 20th with three nights at the 9:30 Club in DC (the first two nights are sold out but tickets are now available for the third, with Mikaela Davis as support). Since we last wrote, we've also confirmed that we'll be returning to Owensboro, KY this year for ROMP. You can find all the details and ticket links on the tour page.

We'll be hosting a listening party and Q&A on our Facebook page later this week. The invitation with timing specifics will be on Facebook and Twitter soon. We'll all hit play at the same time and chat about the album track-by-track as we listen together. Usually I like to provide soft lighting, libations (the variety depends on the hour), and a comfortable couch or chair. Just a suggestion. And turn it up.

Thanks for all the nice shout-outs we've already gotten about the record.  See you at the show...

Paul
