New Album Announcement and North American Tour

Howdy Folks!

Pickles, here, with some news that will surely change your life.

Without further ado - it gives me great joy to finally announce that we will very soon be announcing a new album, to be released early next year.  Unfortunately, at this time, none of us can tell you anything more about it. We do have vague memories of writing music with each other over the past two years and more recently recording with a very tall man, quite possibly T-Bone Burnett. Currently, we have nothing more concrete to share other than this BRAND NEW SONG, “I BLEW IT OFF.” We sincerely hope you like the music, and are super impressed by our collective ability to stand super still for this high concept music video:

We'll be in touch soon with more details, including how to pre-order, and also hopefully other info like the album title, track listing, etc. Be sure to keep an eye out for our next email (and on Facebook and Twitter), which Chris Thile has promised to write personally.

OK, enough with the name dropping, we have a massive North American (yes, you, too, Canada) tour to announce!  There are so many details on this tour that you're just going to have to visit the tour page to see the full list. There’s just no other way. Public tickets go on sale Friday but a limited pre-sale will start tomorrow at 10am local time. It’s against my best judgement to put sensitive password information in an email, but you’re going to need this for the pre-sale:

username: punchbrothers (if they ask)

password: pb2015tour

Every ticket purchased for this North American tour includes a digital download of the album on its release date early next year. You may have missed this if you don't live and breathe our Facebook and Twitter (shame on you), but we'll be heading to the UK and Ireland in late January for a quick three-city run in DublinLondon, and Glasgow. We've just added a second night at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London on January 25. Tickets for the new date will go on sale this Friday.

Punch Brothers will be kicking back into high gear in January, so you must act fast if you’re still needing a 2014 fix for Chris “Critter” Eldridge & Paul Kowert unfettered by Gabe Witcher, Chris Thile, or me.  Critter will be performing music from his brand new album, Avalon, with Julian Lage at Symphony Center in Chicago on December 5th. Haas Kowert Tice, Paul’s new trio, a band that is so indie that they can’t afford punctuation, will be doing a midwest run in November and a West Coast tour in December!

We honestly can’t wait to share this new music with you all and we're hoping we’ll be seeing a lot of each other in 2015.  Stay tuned for more on the new album!

Best,

Noam, Chris, Critter, Gabe & Paul
