We're writing to you this fine time of year from NYC where we're all back together again to work on new music for our next album!
You may have heard the first product of these writing sessions this past weekend on the newly titled Live from Here with Chris Thile. Our new song, "Locked In," was this episode's Song of the Week and you can watch a video of the performance here.
We also served as the house band throughout the show so there's plenty more to listen to - including music from guests Jeff Tweedy, The Staves and yMusic, and Sarah Jarosz plus comedy from Tom Papa. Listen back to a full replay now and watch select videos as they're added throughout the week at livefromhere.org. For example, we had the pleasure of performing "Poor Places" with Jeff Tweedy, you can watch that here.
This Saturday, December 23, we'll be performing on CBS This Morning for a special holiday edition of their Saturday Sessions. We'll be sure to send out a reminder on socials later this week or you can go ahead and set your DVR if you're so inclined.
For anyone working on some last-minute holiday shopping, we're currently running a sale in the shop! Everything is 30% off and any orders over $50 will get a free gift.
Thile’s new album, Thanks for Listening, just came out recently and you can give it a listen here. Produced by Thomas Bartlett, Thanks for Listening is a collection of new studio recordings of Songs of the Week and features guest singers Sarah Jarosz, Gaby Moreno, and Aoife O'Donovan.
The GRAMMY nominations were announced a few weeks back and we'd be remiss to not give another round of congrats to Critter and Noam for their nominations (and to Gabe who produced both records)!
Critter and Julian Lage's Mount Royal received a nomination for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album and Noam's Universal Favorite was nominated for Best Bluegrass Album.
If you missed listening to either, you can visit their respective websites to learn more - lageeldridge.com and noampikelny.com.
