Hi folks,

We had such a fantastic time performing for you all during the American Acoustic tour over the summer and are looking ahead to a busy fall!

If you weren't able to make it to a show over the summer or forgot to swing by the merch table, new t-shirt designs have been added to our online store.

We're spent last week at Oberlin working on material for the next album and performed on campus at Finney Chapel.

We have one more show currently on the books in Storrs Mansfield, CT in April but otherwise things will be a bit quiet on the PB front until we have some new music for you all. That said, there are plenty of other projects and tours to hold you over in the meantime. You can find all the dates on the tour page, but here's a bit of a breakdown of what everyone's up to:

Paul's trio, Haas Kowert Tice, has added mandolinist Dominick Leslie as a fourth member and now go by the name Hawktail! Watch the video for their new song "Unless" and visit hawktailmusic.com to check out their upcoming West Coast tour dates. They also have a new album coming soon, keep an eye on their new Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.

Thile's second season as host of A Prairie Home Companion kicks off tomorrow with guests Chris Stapleton, Julien Baker, Laurie Kilmartin and Emily King. As you may know, Chris writes an original Song of the Week for each episode and he recently recorded new studio versions of some favorites from last season. The album, Thanks for Listening, will be released on December 8 on Nonesuch Records - you can listen to "Thank You, New York" and pre-order the album now at ChrisThile.com. In addition to APHC, Thile has select solo dates and a European tour with Brad Mehldau coming up over the next two months.

Critter and Julian Lage will be back out on the road next week starting with a batch of Texas dates before leading them to the Southwest and LA for a Largo show. They've also added a late October stop in Woodstock, NY before they leave for Japan in November

Congratulations are in order as last week Noam won the IBMA's Banjo Player of the Year award for the second time! His fall solo tour begins later this month and will take him all across the states. For a preview of the show, here's Noam performing "Hen of the Woods" at Paste Studios in NYC.

Punch Brothers

Hi folks,

It's just about time for American Acoustic! We're so excited to get out on the road with I'm With Her (Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O'Donovan) and Julian Lage starting this weekend. If you missed it, here's Chris giving a bit more background on what to expect at the shows:

I'm With Her just released their first original song together as a band, "Little Lies." You can listen to it here and pick up their Little Lies EP at the merch table during the tour.

Following American Acoustic, you'll have plenty of chances to see the boys perform live in other configurations later this summer and fall:
  • Noam has just announced a solo tour in further support of his latest album, Universal Favorite.
  • Thile and Brad Mehldau have dates in both the US and throughout Europe, plus Chris has a few solo shows as well.
  • Critter and Julian Lage just wrapped up a Northeast run but will have a handful of shows together in September and October before heading over to Japan in November.
Be sure to check the tour page for all the dates and we look forward to seeing you all out there!

Best,
Punch Brothers

Due to extenuating circumstances surrounding the timing of the birth of Gabe Witcher’s second child, he is unable to join us for this weekend’s shows at ROMP Festival, The Ryman in Nashville, and The Bijou in Knoxville. We’re pleased to announce that our friend Alex Hargreaves will be joining the band on fiddle for all three of these shows, and in addition, honorary Punch Sisters Sarah Jarosz will join us onstage at ROMP and Aoife O’Donovan will join us in Nashville and Knoxville. We wish Gabe and his family the best and look forward to making these shows special!

Hi folks,

We've got a busy summer touring schedule ahead of us and it's gotten a bit more packed since we last wrote!

In June, we've added two Punch Brothers shows in Colorado leading into Telluride - Boulder at Chautauqua Auditorium on the 12th and the Denver Botanic Gardens on the 13th. Pre-sales for those will begin next week. Speaking of Telluride, we'll be closing out the festival weekend once again with a NightGrass show at the Sheridan Opera House on Sunday, June 18. The online ticket lottery opens next Tuesday, April 18.

The American Acoustic tour with I'm With Her (Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O'Donovan) and Julian Lage has also expanded, with new dates added in Charlottesville, VA on August 8, Atlanta, GA on August 11, Grand Rapids, MI on August 13, and Park City, UT on August 15.

Yo-Yo Ma, Chris Thile, and Edgar Meyer just released their Bach Trios album this past Friday and you can pick up a CD or digital copy today (vinyl arrives April 21). They're about to head out on tour together for a largely sold out run, before Chris meets up with Béla Fleck in May for a duo tour. Later this fall, Chris and Brad Mehldau will perform together both stateside and abroad in support of their recent self-titled album, stay tuned for a few more dates on that front.

Critter and Julian Lage are in Hawaii this week to start the West Coast leg of their Release The Hounds tour with Aoife O'Donovan. Be sure to check out their latest album, Mount Royal, if you haven't just yet.

Paul's trio, Haas Kowert Tice, will continue their Station Inn residency in Nashville on April 19 before their Southeast tour kicks off in May.

Noam's Universal Favorite album release tour just wrapped up but you can still catch him solo at DelFest and the Northwest String Summit this summer. Next week he'll join Tim O'Brien for a pair of Station Inn shows and next month, he'll head out on the road performing with Robbie Fulks.

Best,
Punch Brothers
