"Little Lights" Vocal Submissions

Hello, My Vocal-Cord-and-Internet-Having Lovelies!

We Punch Brothers would love to have you sing* a few lines on our new record as kind of a meta reference to its theme.

The lines are from a song called "Little Lights," the studio recording of which we're hoping to grace with a mighty assembly of your individual Voice Memos and GarageBand sessions.

If you're up for it, you’ll find further instructions below along with a scratch track that I recorded as a guide. Have fun, and infinite thanks in advance for participating!

Instructions:

Plug headphones into your computer (or whatever device you're listening on).

Please turn off any noisy air conditioners or fans. Unfortunately, dogs and cats are not eligible to participate due to a last minute breakdown in negotiations with the ASPCA.

Record a voice memo on your iPhone/Android/Smartphone/GarageBand/etc. (If you're using your phone, you may have to email the file to yourself and then upload it from a computer).

Say "1 - 2, 1 - 2 - 3" along with Chris (skip 4 - 5 - 6), rejoin him on "Shine" and sing all remaining lyrics along with the track. Sing the melody in whatever octave is most comfortable.

By uploading the audio of my vocal performance of the song “Little Lights” by clicking the “Upload” button below, I hereby: (i) affirm, represent and warrant that I have reached the age of majority in my state of domicile; (ii) grant Nonesuch Records ("Nonesuch"), Punch Brothers ("Artist") and their assigns and designees, a worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable license to prepare derivative works, display, perform, copy, exhibit, reproduce, distribute, edit, modify, alter and otherwise use or exploit the Audio, in whole or in part (but without obligation), including as part of the song entitled "Little Lights," in perpetuity worldwide in any manner or medium now existing or hereafter devised, including in connection with the advertising, promotion and publicity of Artist; (iii) grant Nonesuch, Artist and their designees express permission to use my name in any manner or media now existing or hereafter devised in connection with the use or exploitation of the Audio or the advertising, marketing or promotion of Artist (but without obligation); (iv) affirm, represent and warrant that I am not a member of AFTRA and no other union has jurisdiction over my services; I own the master recording embodying the Audio or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents and permissions to grant the foregoing license and that Nonesuch and its designees' use of the Audio will not violate any privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademark rights, contract rights or any other intellectual property rights of any person or entity; and (v) I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH HEREIN.
